THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE (99001) A cheeky, fussy little engine, often getting into scrapes, usually by being over-eager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. The First and most popular little blue engine!
ADA, JANE AND MABEL (99081) These bright blue characters love to be pulled around the Island of Sodor. As Ada leads the way, these three always find fun and laughter is a day’s work.
ANNIE and CLARABEL (99011 and 99012) Thomas’s faithful coaches who were give to him as a reward for proving himself to be a really useful engine.
APFORD EXPRESS COACH (99052) Unlike Gordon, the powerful express train who transports passengers right on schedule, the Knapford Express Coach is always in a rush, which sometimes causes trouble on the Railway Line.
AQUARIUM CARS (99160) Colorful and fun, the large tanks of the aquarium cars help to transport sea creatures to all Festivals and Carnivals on the Island of Sodor.
BARREL CAR (99083) With this new addition, transporting oil and grains is always a barrel of fun. Works with the new Barrel Loader.
BERTIE THE BUS (99008) Has a friendly grin and readiness to help any engine prepared to admit that roads have their uses as well as the rails. He is the firmest of friends with Thomas ever since their Great Race.
BERTRAM THE “OLD WARRIOR” WITH SCRAP CARS (99152) Bertram is called the Old Warrior because of his bravery, works hard hauling scrap metal around the Island of Sodor to be molded into new cars, trains and other useful things. Shiny magnetic “scrap” pieces work with the Cargo Crane and Cranky. Includes an engine and two cars.
BILL and BEN (99014 and 99015) Identical twins in every respect and, it is fair to say, probably the most teasing mischievous character of the whole railway family. The initials on their boiler “SCC” stand for Sodor China Clay, which they haul around the island.
BoCo (99017) Discontinued 1997 A descent diesel with a sense of humor despite having to deal with Bill and Ben.
BOX CAR (99152) Open the doors to see the cargo boxes inside.
BREAKDOWN TRAIN (99067) When an engine is in distress, it’s Breakdown Train to the rescue. A hard-working car, Breakdown Train can save the day and clear the track with ease.
BUTCH THE TOW TRUCK (99159) Butch, who comes from the latest Thomas & Friends video stories, is very serious about his job and loves working - - especially with his engine friends. Despite his immense size, he is a kind hearted giant.
CARGO CAR (99095) The Cargo Car works with the Sodor Cargo Crane and Cranky the Crane too. Comes with a special piece of magnetized cargo.
CATHERINE (99092) Catherine helps Culdee on the mountain railway, carrying passengers and supplies up the steep mountainside.
CHINESE DRAGON (99068) Colorful, festive and fun, this new train is sure to add excitement to the Island of Sodor.
CIRCUS TRAIN (99075) This colorful train consists of three cars and five animals including a zebra, elephant, lion, tiger and giraffe.
CROSBY STATION CARGO TRUCK (99057) Discontinued 1997 Transport cargo such as wood and coal from the engines to the townsfolk. Sometimes the engines are late pulling into the station and the townsfolk have to wait for their deliveries.
CULDEE (99072) He is a mountain railway train, equipped with a face at each end. He is sensible, but the mountain air does make him like a bit of excitement.
DAISY (99016) A classy, sassy passenger diesel. She believes that she should only carry passenger, and never, ever pull trucks, although she will help out in an emergency.
DEREK THE DIESEL – NEW! (99158) Formerly known as Paxman Diesel, Derek is a kind and helpful engine. A new diesel from the latest Thomas & Friends video stories, Derek tends to become over-heated and frequently burns out his engine.
DIESEL (99013) A devious diesel engine, who is always scheming and every ready to stir up trouble.
DIESEL (99087) Oily Diesel thinks he knows everything. Always ready to cause trouble amongst the other engines, Sir Topham Hatt nevertheless sees through Diesel’s devious smirk and flattery.
DIESEL 10 (99156) A renegade diesel engine on the Island of Sodor who is 10 out of 10 for brutal strength and devious deeds and out to destroy the harmony of Sir Tophams Hatt’s Railway.
DODGE & SPLATTER (99157) Dodge and his twin Splatter are Diesel 10’s silly sidekicks. They plot and scheme, but are not really quite as tough as they would like to think they are.
DONALD and DOUGLAS (99009 and 99010) Scottish twins who hate to be parted. Their antics sometimes lead to trouble, but they’re hard workers and particularly good at plowing snow.
DUCK THE GWR PANNIER TANK ENGINE (99018) A cheerful, busy tank engine. He'll stand no nonsense whatever from the larger engines who try to order him about.
DUKE (99078) The oldest and most experienced of engines, Duke (who nickname is “Granpuff”) enjoys teaching others the proper way to do things. He is gentle, but maintains his authority at all times.
DUNCAN (99085) A plain speaking engine, Duncan keeps busy and means well. Often bouncy and occasionally rude, Duncan is famous for singing, swaying and swiveling around. His driver calls him “Rock and Roll”.
D199 (99071) Blue with a bright yellow face, D199 has reason to be a rather vain engine.
EDWARD THE BLUE ENGINE (99002) An older engine and extremely kind: kind to small engines who get into difficulties: kind to big engines when they’re rude or impatient: kind to trucks and coaches which he almost never bumps.
EXPRESS COACHES (99088) The Express Coaches are popular with passengers because they ride smoothly and have extra comfortable seats. The coaches are usually pulled by Gordon, but James sometimes helps out too.
FLYING SCOTSMAN (99093) Called an “extra special engine” by his owner, the Flying Scotsman pulls two tenders and was the second engine to travel 100 miles per hour!
FRANK – (99164) Frank, who comes from the classic Thomas & Friends stories, is a diesel engine who tends to be grumpy when left out of things. Though he may have a bad attitude at times, Frank knows the importance of friendship and teamwork.
FRED THE ORANGE COAL CAR (99082) Deep within the hills of the Island of Sodor lies a plentiful and much-needed supply of China Clay. These Clay Cars understand the importance of carrying the China Clay to town, which is required for making pottery, paint and many other useful things.
GORDON THE BIG EXPRESS ENGINE (99004) The senior member of the engine family, the fastest and most powerful engine on the rails. He’s extremely proud and inclined to boast. He's good-hearted, always willing to use his superior strength to help smaller engines out of trouble.
HANDCAR (99154) The handle moves up and down as the handcar rolls along.
HAROLD THE HELICOPTER (99019) He brings a welcome spot of dash to the quiet landscape of Sodor whenever he appears, even if the noise he makes is occasionally wearing. He is good-hearted and the engines are always pleased to see him.
HENRIETTA (99020) Discontinued 1997 Toby’s faithful coach. Although she rarely carries many passengers, she is quite content with her life on the Island.
HENRY THE GREEN ENGINE (99003) A long, fast engine with a streamlined look which tends to make him somewhat high-strung and prone to illness.
HENRY’S FOREST LOG CAR (99051) Helps Henry transport logs to the timber mill, where they are turned into furniture and other things. Henry and his log car are glad the wood is put to good use, but are always sorry to lose part of the forest.
JAMES THE RED ENGINE (99005) A medium-sized engine. He likes to think of himself as a really splendid engine. This can occasionally lead to grandiose ideas about the sort of work suitable for such a noble creature, which invariably lands James in trouble.
LADY (99155) A very special golden engine who holds the secret to The Magic Railroad.
LORRY WITH FLATBED – NEW! (99161) Lorry 1 has a bad attitude toward the engines and threaten to take their work away from them. He is rude and aggressive, but finds out that some jobs on the Island are best left to the engines.
MAVIS (99024) A Feisty young diesel engine. She is high-spirited, often doing things without thinking about their consequences. Her lack of experience often leads her into trouble, but she’s smart and learns from her mistakes.
MIKE (99084) Mike is a small but robust engine, who works on a narrow gauge line. Full of determination and sticking power, he enjoys the occasional tease but acknowledges the importance of teamwork.
NW BRAKEVAN (99091) The NW Brakevan is a spiteful nuisance who is taught a lesson when one of his schemes goes wrong and he gets caught between James and Douglas.
OLIVER (99062) Oliver and his brake van Toad were saved from scrap by Douglas and are very grateful to him. Oliver had a new coat of paint of which he is very proud, and now works happily on Duck’s branch line.
PERCY THE SMALL ENGINE (99006) A junior member of the principal team of engines. This little chap is normally quite happy puffing around the yard. He’s always keen to oblige, a fact of which the other engines are apt to take advantage.
PETER SAM (99069) A happy, kindly engine - and in so being, is vulnerable. He is often teased by the others, but they love him really. He was tutored by Duke and has great respect for him deep down, despite ribbing him about his age. Being a hard worker by nature, he seldom grumbles about late hours or extra work.
RHENEAS (99077) Rheneas is a tough little engine, whose purpose in life is to work hard and uphold the fine reputation of the railway line.
“RICKETY” TROUBLESOME TRUCK (99151) This truck rocks forward and backwards as it moves along the track!
RUSTY (99061) This small, brave diesel engine’s orange color easily gives her name away. She is very self-assured, and is a dedicated worker. She loves adventure as well as all the other engines, and will do anything to make their lives easier. Fearless in nature and determined, Rusty always smiles in the face of adversity. She is a pal for life.
RUSTY WITH CONSTRUCTION CARS – (99162) Rusty is back with a new, refreshed paint job in this 3-car set! Rusty is a very self-assured and dedicated worker with a huge heart. Along with his dumper and cement mixer, Rusty proves to be an extremely Useful Engine at construction sites.
SAWMILL LOG CAR (99094) Works with the Sawmill with Dumping Depot, this bright red car comes with a special magnetic log.
S.C. RUFFEY (99074) Pronounced “Scruffey," S.C. Ruffey is an old, experienced truck with a bad attitude and rough habits. He carries a car full of ballast.
SIR HANDEL (99079) Sir Handel is a tough engine who often things he knows all and should be boss.
SIR TOPHAM HATT’S CAR (99055) Discontinued 1997 Sir Topham Hatt rides home from the railway in his car each night, after making sure all of the engines are safely back in the Station Houses and not up to any mischief.
SKARLOEY (99070) This bright red engine is dedicated to doing his job well and is always eager to work.
SODOR BAY CARGO SHIP (99059) Is an old but powerful ship who has a very important job. It carries cargo across the bay where engines cannot go.
SODOR BAY TUG BOAT (99060) Picks up cargo brought to the port by the engines and brings it to the cargo ship, anchored just off shore.
SODOR LINE CABOOSE (99050) Always rides behind the other engines on the Island of Sodor and is never in the spotlight like Thomas and his engine friends, but no less important.
SODOR MAIL COACH (99076) This bright red coach carries the mail to the Island of Sodor.
SODOR RAILWAY REPAIR (99089) The Sodor Railway Repair takes care of ballast on the tracks. Comes with a ballast car.
STEPNEY (99073) Bursting with enthusiasm and always eager to please, Stepney is every engine’s friend.
TAR TANKER AND FUEL CAR (99063) This double-car set can handle many hauling needs.
TERENCE THE TRACTOR (99021) Good old honest Terence is the subject of endless teasing from the younger engines on the subject of his crawling tracks. Slow and steady and always with a smile, that’s Terence.
TIDMOUTH MILK TANKER (99054) Thomas and his friends from time to time pull the Tidmouth Milk Tanker to different ports and station so it can be pumped - a nice break from pulling those foolish freight cars.
TOAD (99086) Toad is Oliver’s brake van. They were both saved from scrap by Douglas and are very grateful to him. Toad has no time for the insults of Troublesome Trucks and works happily alongside Oliver on Duck’s branch line.
TOBY THE TRAM ENGINE (99007) An engine that is always happy to work. He’s not above being temperamental sometimes.
TREVOR (99150) The extra wheel on this tractor turns as he moves along.
TROUBLESOME TRUCKS (99023) The freight cars of the railway who take great delight in causing trouble for whichever engine has to pull them. Noisy and silly, they talk a lot and do not attend to what they are doing.
TROUBLESOME BRAKEVAN (99049) Discontinued 1997 Along with Troublesome Trucks, Takes great delight in causing trouble for whichever engine is pulling him.
WILBERT – NEW! (99163) Wilbert comes from the classic Thomas & Friends stories. This Forest Engine is a smart blue saddle-tank engine. His line in the Forest was short, so he was delighted to help out Donald and Douglas on their branch lines.
